Welcome
"It is a privilege and honour to lead our wonderful school, at the heart of our community."
Welcome to our website! I hope you find the information contained within these pages informative and useful.
Our Mission Statement, "Learning, Growing and Living with Jesus" is at the centre of all we do at St. Anthony's and underpins all aspects of school life. We are an Inspirational School, inspiring love and faith in all, inspired by the teachings of Jesus.
Our school became a member of St. Thomas Catholic Academies Trust on 1st of February 2020. Currently there are fifteen schools in our Trust and, in line with the Diocesan vision for all Catholic Schools to work together, our Trust is likely to grow to include more schools within our Diocese over the years. The Trust formed following the merger of two existing Multi-Academy Trusts, the St. Alban Catholic Academies Trust and the St. Peter Catholic Academies Trust.
More information about our Trust and the members of our Local Academy Committee can be found under the section 'Trust Information'. It is the richness of ideas and experience coming together as part of our Trust that makes us stronger. We currently work collaboratively across our Trust to support Teaching and Learning excellence, and this network of support and growing of expertise is constantly evolving. Our collective faithfulness, core Gospel values and our ambition for all children across our Diocese to reach their God given potential is what drives us forward, to give every child the best possible start in life and to celebrate their unique perfection, being created in the Image of God.
At St. Anthony's we offer a rich, diverse curriculum that supports the progress and development of every child. We promote tolerance, fairness and respect for everyone and the rules of law and democracy.
Our pupils are actively involved in promoting the UNICEF Rights Respecting agenda in their daily school life and through community-based tasks and activities. We were proud to receive our Gold Award in September 2018 and our ambition is to continue to link our learning and routines to this agenda across all areas of the curriculum.
Our curriculum is ambitious for our children. It empowers the creative, develops the spiritual, promotes a healthy lifestyle, inspires a love of learning and cultivates the skills of life in modern Britain. We encourage high expectations and a Growth Mindset, building knowledge and core skills of communication and problem solving. We create opportunities to develop and celebrate the talents of every individual.
We endeavour to be a school that embraces the community and world around us, working in partnership with: the Diocese; our Trust; St. Anthony’s Church and Parish; parents & carers and other schools to offer the widest of opportunities to enhance the lives of all within our school. With the challenges that we have all faced recently through the Pandemic, our community working together in partnership is fundamental, to ensure that the learning and wellbeing of our children and families are safeguarded.
We provide a safe, caring and positive environment that promotes learning for all. At the heart of all we do is our love for the children and our relentless strive to give them the very best during their time with us. Our children leave us enriched and encouraged, ready to take their next steps in the world, with fond memories and experiences to be proud of.
