School & Community Life
St Anthony’s School has an active community life, sharing experiences with a wide variety of partners, including our neighbouring church and the parish, the deanery and the diocese.
The school supports the church and its parishioners in a range of ways among which are a monthly lunch for the senior members of our parish community, providing food items for the harvest boxes, supporting the annual fete and most importantly of all, regularly attending mass.
St Anthony’s also works with the other schools of the deanery in several ways; the staff have the opportunity to come together regularly to share ideas and resources and the pupils have the chance to meet at the annual diocesan Mass and in a pilgrimage to Stroud.
Within the school the liturgical year is supported by both the attendance at Mass, whole school and key stage assemblies. The pupil’s spiritual life is also cared for through daily prayer, meditation and reflection. A prayer garden and a memory garden are also available for moments of quiet reflection.
